Getting Started with Hypercade

Hypercade is built on a simple model: you give us access to your game repo and your PM tool, and we handle the rest.

What You Provide

Game Repository Your game code repo (GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, or on-premises Git). We need the repo URL and credentials so we can clone your code and run builds. We handle all CI/CD configuration automatically via our buildScripts templates.

Project Management Tool Credentials If you use Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues, YouTrack, or another PM tool, we connect to it. This lets us track velocity, scope changes, and milestones - the signals that power Radar, our project health engine.

That’s it. Everything else is our infrastructure.

What Hypercade Provides

CI/CD Pipeline (Foundation) Automated builds for Unreal Engine or Unity. We handle configuration, run builds on shared infrastructure, store build artifacts, and report back on successes and failures. No TeamCity to manage. No CI scripts to write. Builds just happen.

Crash Reporting Your game crashes go to BugSplat. We collect, categorize, and surface them in your Portal dashboard. You see trends, affected players, and reproduction steps - all in one place.

Analytics Performance data, player sessions, custom events. We ingest your telemetry and give you dashboards to understand what’s happening in the game.

Project Health (Radar) Real-time signals on scope creep, tech debt, and velocity changes. We monitor your codebase, build pipeline, and PM data to flag risks weeks before they become problems.

Audience Intelligence (Sonar) Community insights across social platforms, pre-launch audience seeding, comp analysis, and design intelligence.

How Onboarding Works

  1. Prepare - Gather repo URL, credentials, and PM tool access
  2. Connect - We set up your game on our TeamCity instance and point to your PM tool
  3. Verify - Your first build runs, crash reporting starts, analytics data flows in
  4. Ship - You log into the Portal and start using the platform

The whole process typically takes a few hours. See Detailed Onboarding Guide for step-by-step instructions.

What You’ll See in the Portal

Once you’re set up, you log into app.hypercade.io (you’ll get a magic link via email). Here you’ll see:

  • Builds - All CI/CD runs, success/failure, build logs, artifacts
  • Crashes - Incoming crash reports with stack traces and trends
  • Analytics - Real-time performance dashboards
  • Project Health - Radar signals on scope, tech debt, and velocity
  • Team - Member management and role assignments
